SUN PRINTS

Sun prints work with the power of nature–sunlight and water. To create a sun print, place a photo negative on paper coated with a sensitizer solution and expose to sunlight. After a few minutes sunbathing, remove the negative and agitate paper in a diluted vinegar bath. The vinegar-water mixture develops the image. A bath in plain water removes any remaining sensitizer. A quick dip in a diluted hydrogen peroxide wash and final rinse under running water allows the print to develop into a deep Prussian blue.
