I found these little flowers–petunias I think–nestled in the bottom of a grocery cart one evening. They must’ve fallen off a hanging basket someone was buying. I brought them home with me. The next day, hoping to combine two things I love, reading and flowers, I pulled my aunt’s old copy of The Odyssey off my shelf and set about to create this ethereal photo. I placed the open book on an old fence post that serves as the border of my flower bed, and tucked it in among the wild Columbine. The fallen flowers graced the pages of the book perfectly. I laid down on the ground and waited for the gentle summer breeze to rustle the pages just right.I found these little flowers–petunias I think–nestled in the bottom of a grocery cart one evening.
